I sketched this in the front garden of Claude Monet's famous house in Giverny during a spring visit in 2024. I then brought the sketch home to the UK and finished painting it. Across the road from the house and this view is Monet's other, world famous, garden, with its iconic Japanese pond and lilies, but I wanted to capture the vibe of where he lived and the view he saw from his windows every day. 40 x 30 cm.
